Mick Zaatra

In December 2023, I initiated a pioneering venture as the Founder of OBD-AI, merging my deep-rooted expertise in astronautical engineering with substantial experience in the automotive industry. My educational foundation is built on an MBA from Capitol Technology University, obtained in 2022, and an Astronautical Engineering degree from the same university, which led to my role as a Spacecraft Operator for OneWeb.

My academic journey is marked by a commitment to lifelong learning, demonstrated through multiple certifications. I completed a certification in Circuits and Electronics Analysis from MIT in December 2017 and a Mechanics: Kinematics and Dynamics certification from MIT in November 2018. In May 2019, I expanded my expertise into Data Science with a certification from Harvard, coupled with a Space Missions and Operations Specialist certification from Capitol Technology University. Further enhancing my technical skills, I obtained a certification in Databases: Relational Databases and SQL from Stanford University in May 2023.

Before establishing OBD-AI, I garnered over a decade of professional experience in the automotive industry, beginning as a mechanic in high school and progressing to a managerial role at an Auto Repair shop while at Capitol Tech. Here, I also served as a State Inspector, specializing in high-level automotive diagnosis and repairs.​
